Public Policy Research Centre (PPRC) is a research organization established under the Dr
Mookerjee Smruti Nyas, a public charitable trust. The Centre focuses on research- based objective
analysis of contemporary policy issues of significance. The organization aims at constructively
impacting policy formulation process with an emphasis on good governance practices, efficient implementation mechanisms and evidence-based policymaking including policy-audit and
evaluation in the larger interest of the nation.
Dr Vinay Sahasrabuddhe served as one of the Board of Directors of PPRC.
YASHADA
Yashwantrao Chavan Academy for Development Administration (YASHADA) is the Administrative
Training Institute of the Government of Maharashtra, and meets the training needs of government
departments and rural and urban non-officials and stakeholders.
In 1997, Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe was appointed Member of the Board of Governors at YASHADA
and he worked on this position as till 1999. During these three years, he introduced the idea of
conducting capacity building programmes for University Officials.
He had worked on various bodies of University of Mumbai and this experience gave him an insight
into the urgent need for some effective efforts for building the capacities of those who are
administering Universities. The idea was immediately accepted and Vinay Sahasrabuddhe was
requested to act as Course Director for the first-of-its-type training course held at YASHADA in 1997.
SPIPA
Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration (SPIPA) was established by the Government of
Gujarat in 1962 as the apex Training Institution of the state. The Institute was renamed as Sardar
Patel Institute of Public Administration in 1974. It was established as an institution for
training government functionaries.
In 2003, Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe was appointed as an expert, non-official member on the Board of
Governors.
Persistent Systems
Persistent Systems is an Indian multinational technology services company which was
incorporated on 16 May 1990.
In 2014, Dr, Vinay Sahasrabuddhe was nominated as a social scientist on its Research and Innovation
Council and he continues to be its member.
